Pizza Salad with Creamy Basil Italian Dressing

This salad was a kitchen pilgrimage of transforming the pinnacle of all tasty comfort–the pizza pie–into a salad.

Essential components are the roasted green pepper and onion. Because pizza is roasted, is it not?


Combined with the creamy, nutty, also roasted, pine nuts.


Here’s a game changer: baked parmesan chips. Crunchy, deeply cheesy and salty–fresh parmesan can’t even bite at this flavor.

Finally, chunks of good quality pepperoni (I’m pretty sure that’s the authentic way to treat pepperoni, by the chunk) and salami wedges.


Add on a few extra toppings: tomato, Kalamata olives, feta cheese; toss it in our oh-so-creamy, fresh basil Italian dressing; and your forkful has got some serious salad


Pizzazz Salad Ingredients

Power greens 
Kalamata Olives
Roasted Green Peppers, Onions
Roasted Pine Nuts 
Baked Parmesan Chips 
Feta cheese

Creamy Basil Italian Dressing

3/4 Cup Mayo 
1/4 cup parmesan 
2 tbps olive oil 
2 tbps apple cider vinegar 
2 cloves roasted garlic 
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper 
1/4 tsp salt 
1/4 freshly ground black pepper 
1 teaspoon sugar or honey 
1 sundried tomato 
Juice of half a lemon 
Handful of fresh basil leaves 
Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
